Hi, I'm Brooks Kohler, founder of Laptiast.com, and I want to thank you for visiting this page.
Beta readers and developmental editors play an important role in the publishing process. Authors contact me not only for advice on manuscripts but also moral support. Out of respect for their privacy, I do not name each author who contacts me, but it's not uncommon for Laptiast.com to receive several emails per week and for writers to return for advice on new titles.
My background is that of a writer and former college instructor. When you ask me to take a look at your manuscript, I make detailed notes and offer feedback critical to the editing process. I provide a deadline of completion and encourage you to stay in contact with me to ask any questions that may arise on your writing journey.
The fees I charge are fair, reasonable, and inline with others. Please take a few minutes to browse the website, and when ready, visit the contact page to use the email form to contact me.
