After years of beta reading, I've decided to call it quits and am no longer accepting beta reading queries. My life's become very busy, and I feel it's the best decision for me to make.

I began Laptiast as a way to connect with writers and through it I have. Thanks to the site, I've made contact with some amazing writers, and in doing so learned more about the writing business than I ever anticipated. I watched the online world of self-publishing go from a drudgery task to easy uploading and recall both the positives and negatives of an evolutionary form of publishing.

In the early days of Laptiast, it felt like every other email I received was a writer telling me about a new method of self-publishing or book promotion. At times, I felt lost in the woods. So much new technology rushed out at once, writers who contacted me gave me a crash course in what was happening. However, through their concerns, fears, and successes I began to form a mental repository of new technologies coming into fashion among writers.
